Musikala is pleased to announce the presentation of “Ghalib to Gulzar – The Journey of Ghazals”, taking place on October 4, 2023 at esteemed patron of the arts Dr. Shahnoor Khan’s residence in Great Falls, Virginia.
In this program we explore the origins of the classical poetry of Ghazals, and its roots in classical music of India. We are aware of many popular Ghazals, but we hardly pay attention to how they became part of our lives and evolved over the period. This is not a dry lecture demonstration, but an aesthetic musical tribute to the poets and singers who made this poetry such an integral part of our lives.
